Fiber to the Desktop Networking Solution
LightelNet, developed by Lightel Systems, Inc., is a high-speed (OC-48) optical Local Area Networking solution, using Packet over SONET (POS). The network supports SONET-BLSR (Bidirectional Line Switch Ring) configuration for high reliability and SONET Spurs as a low cost alternative. The key components of the LightelNet are CyberNIC™ (PRISM host adapter card), CyberBridge™ and CyberSwitch™.
PRISM was involved in the design and development of several components of the LightelNet Solution. |
